What are anxiety attack symptoms?

The most common anxiety attack symptoms are chocking sensation, constriction of heart and trembling. All people suffering from anxiety undergo these anxiety attack symptoms. These are also accompanied by excessive sweating and burning sensations in the face, ears, shoulders and head. These are anxiety attack symptoms that are unique for anxiety and panic attacks. These symptoms are not built up gradually but occur suddenly and simultaneously. There are several other anxiety attack symptoms – both physical and mental that can indicate anxiety and panic attacks. Many people suffer from shortness of breath and sudden feeling of a jolt – like a bolt of electricity passing through them. Anxiety attacks can affect all people and all the above mentioned symptoms occur during the attack. So, they can be difficult to understand at that time and can be misconstrued as symptoms of heart attack or nervous disorder. They can also not be planned for or prevented. However, for people suffering anxiety disorders and panic attack syndrome, there are some other symptoms that can be indicative of their disorder. Anxiety disorders can be diagnosed with the help of these symptoms:  Allergies are common in people with anxiety disorders. These allergies occur more frequently and also stay for a longer duration. The numbers of allergies also increase in time. Body aches, especially back pains coupled with itchiness are classic symptoms of anxiety disorders. These body reactions are also accompanied by alternating spells of feeling cold and chilly or hot and stuffy. These confusing symptoms are unique to anxiety disorders but are often overlooked or misconstrued as generic symptoms. Anxiety disorder patients also suffer from heart palpitations and in fact, these palpitations are effective indicators of impending panic attacks. If the palpitations increase drastically, there is a possibility of a panic attack but it they are marginally higher, they indicate an anxiety attack. Muscle twitching and nausea are also common symptoms of anxiety. Lack of appetite also affects some people with anxiety. Another symptom that is overlooked is the urge to urinate. Anxiety disorder patients have the need for frequent and prolonged urination. This is often misconstrued as a symptom for diabetes. Psychological symptoms include lack of concentration in work, tendency to avoid all types of activities, need to be alone and secluded, etc. These are accompanied by a heightened sense of fear and apprehension. People also experience short term memory loss and are prone to nightmares and obsessions. There are several other anxiety attack symptoms but the ones listed above are the most common ones.
